Little Sparrow

Acrylic painting 90x90 cm
A small dead sparrow lies on the ground, easily overlooked. People pass by without noticing, or without stopping.
The bird becomes a quiet symbol of how fragile life can be, and how quickly value can disappear once something no longer moves, produces, or demands attention.
The sparrow points to the invisible and vulnerable aspects of existence — the lives, bodies, and moments that fall outside what society considers important. Lying there, almost erased by the rhythm of everyday life, it asks what we choose to see, and what we allow ourselves to ignore.
Tomorrow

In this self portrait I depict my face at a moment of visible illness.
The painting does not attempt to soften or hide the physical reality of being unwell; instead, it confronts the viewer with a face marked by exhaustion and vulnerability. By presenting myself in this state, I challenge the expectation that bodies must appear healthy, composed, and productive in order to be worthy of attention.
The portrait becomes both an act of exposure and resistance, insisting that illness is not something that exists only in private spaces, but is part of lived reality that deserves to be seen.
It also reflects a familiar promise within chronic illness: that productivity must wait until tomorrow, because today the body simply cannot.
